Welcome to chill part of this website, the category “From My Life”.
The language i am gonna use in this part may contain tons of slangs, daily idioms, netizen words etc. I mean i am not sure if i can keep using formal language here. Sometimes i can use formal language too lol. Guess it is really gonna be up to my mood
So let’s don’t make it too long and let’s jump into our first blog of this category
Welcome again :))
So, this year, a pandemic happened and we stucked in our homes since half of March (for Turkey). It was hella boring in first weeks but then i learned spending time in home with fun ways. Coffee art was one of the things i tried during this period.
I was interested in it before quarantine to be honest, but i didn’t have much time to practise. There were this cafe called ‘Bom Korean Cafe’ in İstanbul (Sadly, it is closed now ://) and they were serving coffees always with an art on it. Of course it wasn’t the only place where you can get your coffee with art in İstanbul but i was going there frequently.
Anyway
After watching lots of videos on Youtube i attempted to do it.
And this was my first successful one hehe
Then this failure with that amazing huge milk foam on it lol 👇
But it was tasting good, don’t let the appearance to fool you guyss
The problem was not knowing how much foam is proper for making art. And i still don’t know kkkkk. It is like a chance, sometimes i get good amount of foam with good texture
Here the second nice work with hearts <3 👇
In this one texture of foam was better because i tried a new way to get homogenous mixture. After creating foam with french press, i poured milk into a glass then poured it in french press again. Then the milk and foam had more homogenous texture. (learned this way from my classmate, he really has great knowledge about coffee) ☕️
Actually main reason of being have to effort that much is using french press. Normally these foam is created by coffee machines, you put the cup with milk on to place, it diffuses steam and mixes it and gives to nice textured milk foam to create latte art. I forgot what this process called.
And
This is the latest one👇
Not hearts this time but a flower 🌸
Flower has darker color than coffee part because i poured milk and foam first and made white circle shape in middle. There were still foam in my french press so i added cocoa to color it, then used dark colored foam to create flower shape ^^
Hmmm
That’s all for this very first chill blog post, i have no more words left to tell. If you wonder which youtube videos i watched, please tell me to share
I hope you find it friendly,
Hugs and kisses and loves ❤️
See you next timeee
