Fastly or Rapidly? (in English)

This blog is about English language

How to describe doing something in quick way in English language? There are many options such as immediately, fleeetly, rapidly, quickly etc*.. I picked rapidly to use on title but all of these words have same meaning. Main point of this blog is ‘fastly’ actually. Because it is a misusing.

The word fast (noun) has same meaning with ‘quick’ (noun) and ‘rapid’ (noun) . But due to other meanings of ‘fast’, adverb version of it isn’t used to describe situation which is happening in quick way.

So conclusion:

When you use ‘fastly’ in a sentence what you get as meaning is not “a greate rate”, “quickly” etc. For this meaning the words “rapidly”, “quickly”, “immediately” and their synonyms are used 😊
